Still having doubts?
The 2 kg weight activates deep pressure, the same principle as a weighted blanket, but portable and huggable.
An incredibly wonderful weighted stuffed animal that helps you relax and decompress.

Niedlicher geht es nicht mehr.
Josch ist ein absoluter Charmebolzen
😉
Mijn Loike doet me goed slapen en ontspannen.
George (beer) & Pam (schaap).
Eindelijk voel ik me veilig in mijn eigen bed.

Lotgenootje Pop-Up Store: It was a huge success!
From May 19 to 30, 2026, we could be found at Utrecht Central Station, right between platforms 19 and 20. For ten days, visitors were able to get to know Lotgenootje and experience, feel, and discover firsthand what a Lotgenootje can mean for them and their loved ones.
The responses touched us deeply. People paused, shared their stories, and took a Lotgenootje home with them. It was more than just a pop-up store; it was a place of recognition and connection. Thank you to everyone who dropped by and made this experience so incredibly special!

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Lotgenootje really help you sleep better and faster?
Yes, it does. Deep pressure stimulation (the 2kg weight) helps your body produce more serotonin and melatonin, the natural chemicals that help you relax. Many of our 100,000+ users report that they lie awake less often and fall into a deeper sleep thanks to the comforting feel of the plushie.
What age is the 2kg Lotgenootje suitable for?
Our 2kg plushies are specifically developed for children aged 3 and up, teenagers, and adults. For young children, it is important that they can move the plushie independently. Adults often use the Lotgenootje on their lap while unwinding or against their chest while sleeping.
How does a Lotgenootje differ from a normal weighted blanket?
A weighted blanket distributes weight over your entire body, whereas a Lotgenootje provides targeted pressure on one spot (like your chest or lap). Many people find a plushie less restrictive than a blanket, and you can easily take your Lotgenootje to the couch or on trips.
What is the plushie weighted with and is it safe?
Safety is our priority. The plushies are filled with high-quality glass beads securely embedded in a double lining. This ensures the weight is evenly distributed and the filling cannot leak. All our plushies carry the CE mark and meet strict European safety standards.
What is the best way to clean my Lotgenootje?
Because the Lotgenootje weighs 2kg and has a special filling, we advise against using a washing machine. You can best clean the super-soft fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap. This keeps the fabric looking its best and the filling in top condition.
What if I am not completely satisfied?
We want you to be 100% happy with your new Lotgenootje. That’s why we offer a 30-day trial sleep. If you don’t notice the desired effect or aren’t satisfied after this period, you can return the plushie for free, and we will refund the purchase price immediately.
Sometimes life is heavier than you’d want it to be, especially when a child is ill and a family enters a period of uncertainty.
That is why we are grateful to be able to contribute to the Ronald McDonald House Netherlands. With a donation of our Lotgenootjes (little companions/peers), we hope to give both children and parents a small moment of peace, comfort, and closeness.
No grand gestures, just something soft to hold onto, precisely when it is needed most.
